Instructor Program

Ko Am Mu Do Certified Instructors are some of the most knowledgeable and capable anywhere.

The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation supports schools, members and students of  Ko Am Mu Do with Instructor  training and Certification Programs.

 

By the time a student reaches Instructor Level within the Ko Am Mu Do system, they have an average of 10 years of experience, have been a Black Belt for 2 years, spent more 110 hours of assisting and learning from their Instructor, and has completed a minimum of 28 hours of professional Instructor training through The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation (WKAMDF) Headquarters.

 

Current Instructors attend a minimum of 2 Instructor Training Seminars per year to maintain certification.  This helps ensure effectivess of existing skills and provides the forum to learn new methods or techniques.

 

Instructor Training Program Purpose:

  1. To train and certify Instructors in Ko Am Mu Do.
  2. To develop the individuals natural leadership skills and abilities.
  3. To provide Students the very best training.
  4. Establish standards for Instructor qualification and build relationships among the Ko Am Mu Do family through educational programs for techniques, methods and systems.

Instructor Course Information:

Course curriculum sample: Ko Am Mu Do theories and history, Ko Am Mu Do training method, school management, Competition rules, Regulations for Promotion Test and Certified Instructor Program, Ko Am Mu Do practices, terms and basic movements, Ko Am Mu Do Curriculum, Hapkido, Weapons, Poomsae, Kyorugi, Demonstration method, Special lectures, etc.

 

 

CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS

 

The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation supports schools, members and students of  Ko Am Mu Do with Instructor  training and Certification Programs. The Ko Am Mu Do Instructor Program supports the School Member as well as the candidate. The key component of the Ko Am Mu Do Instructor Program includes regular attendance to WKAMDF Seminars and continuing education through various training programs. If you don't have a progressive instructor program set up in your school, simply use the Ko Am Mu Do program.

 

Current Instructors attend at least 2 seminars per year to maintain existing skills and learn new methods and techniques.

 

This makes Ko Am Mu Do Instructors some of the most qualified  anywhere and helps maintain the integrity of Ko Am Mu Do and the School Members.

 

Instructor Level

Certification Requirements

Instructor Trainee
  1. Black Belt Club
  2. Brown Belt and above
  3. 12 years old and up
  4. 10 hours of supervised class support (helping your Instructor)
  5. Certified Instructor or Master recommendation

Assistant Instructor

  1. 1st Dan or above
  2. Completion of previous training levels (no jumping certifications)
  3. 16 years old and above (12 to 15 years of age “Junior Assistant Instructor”)
  4. 8 credit hours of HQ or seminar training (2)
  5. Passing score on written test
  6. 50 hours of supervised Instructor class (helping your Instructor)
  7. Certified Instructor or Master Recommendation

Instructor

  1. 2nd  Dan or higher required
  2. Completion of previous training levels (no jumping certifications)
  3. 16 years old and above (12 to 15 years of age “Junior Instructor”)
  4. 20 credit hours of HQ Seminar training (4)
  5. Pass final written exam (includes all materials from previous levels).
  6. 50 hours of supervised Instructor class (helping your Instructor)
  7. Master recommendation

Chief Instructor

  1. 3rd Dan required
  2. Completion of previous training levels (no jumping certifications)
  3. 18 years  old and up (15 to 17 years of age “Junior Chief Instructor”)
  4. 20 credit hours of HQ or seminar training (4)
  5. Pass final written exam
  6. 50 hours of supervised Instructor class (helping your Instructor)
  7. Master recommendation

Master Instructor

  1. 4th Dan or higher required
  2. Completion of previous training levels (no jumping certifications)
  3. 21 years old and up (If under 21 years of age “Junior Master Instructor”)
  4. 20 credit hours of HQ or seminar training (4)
  5. Pass final exam if administered
  6. Conducting 3 Ko Am Mu Do training and Instructor Seminars
  7. Ko Am Mu Do Headquarters and Master recommendation

Chief Master Instructor

  1. 6th  Dan or higher required
  2. Completion of previous training levels (no jumping certifications)
  3. 25 years old and up
  4. Pass final exam (includes all materials from previous levels)
  5. Conducting 5 Ko Am Mu Do training and Instructor Seminars
  6. Ko Am Mu Do Headquarters and President recommendation

Instructor Rules
  1. All Certified Instructor Candidates must complete Instructor Program minimum requirements.
  2. Certifications are provided upon successful completion of specified program requirements and submission of required documentation and any fees.
  3. No jumping certifications / training, all Instructors are required to attend specified hours / credits of Headquarters Instructor Training to total the required credits / hours up to the requested level. Each program has levels based on specified requirements in order to help maintain governance and the high integrity of the Ko Am Mu Do “system”.
  4. Training is held at various locations such as The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation Headquarters, Official Ko Am Mu Do Seminars or other locations approved by Headquarters.
  5. Must attend and complete a minimum of 2 HQ sponsored Instructors Training Seminars per year to maintain current Certification and Instructor Status.
  6. Required to submit Instructor Application and associated forms including Confidentiality-Non Compete and Background Check Approval forms and 2 recent ID size photos).
  7. Must be a current Member of the World Ko Am Mu Do Federation.
  8. Junior Instructors (under 21 years of age) are not to lead classes without the Master or Certified Instructor present and overseeing the class.
  9. All Adult Instructors (18 years and above) are required to submit a signed Criminal History Check Approval Agreement.
  10. Prohibited to teach or Demonstrate Ko Am Mu Do outside the school without specific pre approval and written consent from Headquarters.
  11. All Ko Am Mu Do training materials come through Headquarters.  You cannot re create / create any Ko Am Mu Do training materials without specific written permission from The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation Headquarters. Leadership and appropriate developments are encouraged.  If new tools or materials are developed by any member, these materials, documentation and tools are submitted to The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation and become the collective property of The World Ko Am Mu Do Federation.
  12. Only the Master should deal directly with Ko Am Mu Do Headquarters. This partnership provides the maximum support to the student in helping them reach their martial arts goals and keeps the Instructor aware.
  13. Cost varies based on program, level and or certification. The cost of Certification is separate from the cost of the instructor training seminars. Participants incur all their expenses associated with travel.
